A new event for promoting EE in Italy with a focus on the use of light and electricity took place in Trieste on 15 February 2013: “M’illumino di meno 2013 - MI DIVERTO (E IMPARO) DI PIÙ”. GovernEE was represented by its Italian partner institute CETA...
In the ambit of the event, the model of the Eco-Sustainable House and the plastic of the Electricity/Heating grids produced for GovernEE’s 2nd Energy Days ( November 2012) were showed to exhibition visitors to emphasis project activities and energy efficiency (EE) concerns of buildings to citizens.
To coincide with the National Italian Initiative “M’illumino di meno” (“I lighten less”), the Imaginary Science Center of Trieste proposed an extraordinary later hours with special activities in the evening dedicated to energy saving and energy efficiency for the public. The event allowed visiting dedicated areas under a playful semi-darkness atmosphere with a series of activities and didactic laboratories directed to children and their families but also the general public on the topics of energy consumption awareness.
Special laboratories in Trieste
“Un po’ di lucesullaluce”– A bit of light under the light : it started in the evening hours and was a gratis lab directed to families where adults and children had the occasion of investigate the light and its sources, experiment applications such as circuits games, electric wires, light bulbs games.
“Terra di notte” – The Earth by night: a didactic and game laboratory for children from 5 to 10 years old that allow assembling electric circuit able to illuminate a small “The Earth by night” to learn more about pollution by light.
“Bagliori di risparmio”– Glares of saving: in this section reflectors were directed on the practices of sustainability and energy saving in the museum area of the Imaginary Science Center that hosted the big interactive position promoted by Ecolamp, the no-profit consortium that works on the collection and treatment of flat dead light sources.
The area welcomed also the model of Eco-Sustainable House produced by CETA in the ambit of the GovernEE project together with the plastic model which represents the electricity/ heating grids. These models, produced for the 2nd Energy Days of the project, were used in this event to accompany the visitors along a pathway dedicated to the consciousness energy consumption and the respect of the environment and the natural resources. GovernEE brochures were distributed to the participants.
